The morning breakfast your roommate is burning downstairs and wake up

You smell the dog as she kisses your face

You smell the rain gathering to fall later in the day whenever it deigns to do so

You smell the clean laundry as you fold it

You smell the mountain air as you drive with the windows down

You smell the dinner I made us

You smell the candle burning before you blow it out and smell the smoke

and I smell

I smell You
