I woke up from a dream last night
and found myself dreaming still
not still in dreams
for those were vivid and choking and murderous
and this was calm
the sunrise of another day
an anniversary
came prying at my eyelids
bad news and a beautiful sky
the safe embrace of reality
and I
am still dreaming
